The functions, duties and powers of the Board shall be as follows
(a) To formulate and implement necessary policies to establish, improve, promote and protect the tea and coffee industry in order to expand and develop tea and coffee cultivation in Nepal,
(b) Prepare the necessary technical and financial bases for the development and expansion of tea and coffee cultivation and implement accordingly. (c) Advising the Government of Nepal regarding the prices of tea and coffee (d) Arranging and arranging for the supply of loans, seeds, seeds, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, tools, fuel, technical services, etc. needed by small-scale tea and coffee farmers. (e) Governmental lands suitable for growing tea and coffee should be provided by the Government of Nepal to grow tea and coffee or given on lease or installments to grow tea and coffee,
(f) To develop the tea and coffee market system, conduct market surveys from time to time to ascertain the grade and variety of tea and coffee preferred by the consumers and to determine the quality of tea and coffee. (G) Informing the exporters about the demand for tea and coffee in the international market (h) Conducting necessary studies for the development and expansion of the tea and coffee industry in Nepal (i) To establish and conduct a training and research center to provide technical knowledge, training and technical assistance to individuals or organizations working in the tea and coffee industry,
(j) To make necessary arrangements to provide necessary training, seminars and higher education to those people abroad for skill development of people involved in tea and coffee industry,
(k) Coordinating the efforts being made in the government and private sectors for the development of the tea and coffee industry (l) Doing necessary work to increase the understanding between the management and the workers related to the tea and coffee industry, (d) Maintaining the register of tea and coffee industries,
(d) Taking necessary actions to improve management in tea and coffee industries (n) Imposition of service charge (cess) on tea and coffee with the approval of the Government of Nepal (p) To carry out other necessary work related to the development of tea and coffee industry.
